2012 Caprice PPV with the L77 for a little more than $13k. Yeah, I know, it already has 110k miles, but this is one kick ass car for the money.

Hell no! The first gen PPV was crap.

Make sure the back has been REALLY hosed down.

it won’t need a whole lot of effort and maintenance to get another 110k out of it.

Lol, yeah. Though you could always do that yourself, depending on how bad it is.

Great find, NP all day. Keep the looks and nobody’ll give you a second glance if you're speeding haha

Vomit. Blood. Urine. Take your pick, it’s been on that seat.

That’s what I’m saying! Reliability, sleeper-ish looks, fast, and practical. What’s not to love?

How so?

The interiors were absolutely horrible and nobody bought them because of the console shifter.
Not good cars, I’d pay $5,000 max.

That’s what I thought, for sure. And I would definitely keep it exactly the way it is, maybe a Holden rebadge like Joest said, but that’s it. It’d be fun to see the looks on people’s faces if you pulled up behind them while they’re speeding.

Nothing some scrubbing and effort can’t fix! Haha.

I could honestly give a shit less about interior quality, to be honest. And while the console shifter was an issue for fleet use (they switched to a column shifter in ‘14), its not an issue at all for civilian use. Even if the interior was unbearable, that doesn’t make it a bad car.
If you can find one of these that’s in this condition for $5k, I’ll go buy it right now. There’s no way in hell, man. $13k is low.

$13,000 is still a rip off for an ex Police car with 100,000 miles. They’ll hit $5,000 when people start buying them.

I bet even some cops wouldn’t give you a second glance. Were I to attempt a Cannonball Run, this is what I’d use. Just stick two or three (functional) antennas on the trunklid to make it look legit. Having non-govt tags would be a problem though.

These things are so badass. I thought seriously about getting one, but I’m too much of a pussy, so I bought a normal car instead.

I would actually kinda want to put two antennas on the back to complete the cop look anyways lol. I don’t think it’d fool the cops around where I live, but it would be cool to catch one off guard.

Plus I don't think they can nail you for impersonating a police officer unless you have (or are using) lights/siren.

I’ll just have to agree to disagree. I think $13k is great for a 3 year old car that was maintained properly and has plenty of life left.

I don't think they could. Like you said, they can only nail you for using sirens/lights, or if you have police markings on the car.

Yeah, but driven hard and those things aren’t exactly proven on the road yet.

Fair point. The L77 is a derivative of the LS2, which really doesn’t have any reliability issues if its maintained. But it has probably been driven hard for a lot of its life. I get what you mean, though.
